Proven Hull Design
The arONE hull is a Hollom MK 3 which is a further development of the proven and championship winning Hollom Departure from David Hollom Yachtdesign. The design goal was to reduce wetted surface, increase prismatic and, as waterline beam is a big driver of wave drag and also increases wetted area, reduce waterline beam. The U section bow raises prismatic at displacement speeds when it is in the water but at planing speeds it is clear of the water and the boat planes on its V sections in the middle and the flat stern sections.

Cutting edge engineering
Based on the hulldesign structural engineering, testing and devlopment of laminate plans and the generel building concept was performed by Axel Reinsch and his team. Axel is not only an avid 14 sailor for more than 20 years but is also heading a leading European composite engineering boutique. The aim of the strructural design was to produce strong and durable boats with extraordinary stiffness for excellent performance. The arONE is designed and built for many years of high performance sailing.
Smart solutions
Details matter - such as the characteristic flat design of the foredeck and smart solutions like the integrated redirection of shrouds and stays in the racks. The cockpit layout is clean and simple with all the trim lines nicely organised below the deck. The arONE dancefloor is a feature providing durable grip and comfort even for the barefooted sailor. In terms of rudder foil adjustments there is a choice of a conventional system which is optimised with a gas pressure spring instead of the usual rubber band or the revolutionary twist-tiller adjustment, which has been developed to perfection over the past years and is fully integrated into the tiller and rudder box.
HQ Bulding process
We do things properly. A male plug has been CNC milled exactly reproducing the design data from the CAD models. The female mould was then laminated from this plug. The mould is refined with a gel coat and produces hulls that come out of the mould with an excellent finish almost ready for the final varnish.
Composite experience
Passion and experience is at the core of the boatbuilding team and our partner yard Fiolka Bootsbau which is lead by composite expert and 14 sailor John Fiolka . John is known to take care of every detail and to strive for perfectionism.
Top components
Rudder and daggerboard are build by us with the same high standard we apply to the boat istself. Spars and tubes as well as deck hardware is sourced only from the best suppliers.
